Since its inception in 2004, the Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce (HBCC) has been a cornerstone of Black business advocacy, supporting over 300 entrepreneurs and organizations across 65 industries. Our mission is rooted in the development, advancement, and sustainment of black business across Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska. HBCC builds upon the legacy of the Kansas City Black Chamber of Commerce, founded by Mr. Leroy Tombs, owner of Tombs & Sons, which held federal contracts to provide food and maintenance services for military bases throughout the country. Over the years, the Chamber has consistently provided critical support for entrepreneurs, connecting them with financial and strategic opportunities to promote growth and long-term success. Through our advocacy and education initiatives, HBCC remains committed to uplifting the Black community based through skill and merit!
